A ROM is a chip that contains the basic tools that run the computer. Every computer has one. Mac, PC, graphing calculator, Palm Pilot. The emulator will not function without either 1) a ROM board or 2) a ROM image. All emulators here work on ROM images ('soft' emulators). A ROM image must be captured from a Mac that YOU OWN and the Mac MUST NOT RUN AT THE SAME TIME AS THE EMULATOR. To learn how you obtain a ROM image, go to www.vmac.org.
